All of the people you have met...all of the stories you have heard...all of the emotions you have felt is all for a reason...to remember, to share, to respond, to act...to become that person who can make a difference. We all have the power to do that. You have been given the responsibility to put that power to work, no matter how difficult or seemingly impossible it might seem to you. Think of the sacrifices, the circumstances, the lives that were lead by the people whose path you have just taken...now you must do something with this experience that will honor and pay tribute to them. Your posts clearly indicate you have all been moved by and changed by what Mrs. Tambuscio has so beautifully orchestrated for you to experience. Now it is up to you. Stand tall, step up and make your contribution to the solution of eradicating hate. May you have a safe journey home to your families and may be passionate about sharing what you have just learned.Vernoyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02064520164350196969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1853315305145295325.post-48051561829197136042014-04-17T22:08:18.531-04:002014-04-17T22:08:18.531-04:00The story of the nuns not wishing to desecrate the...The story of the nuns not wishing to desecrate the tortured, dead bodies further and wanting to bury them in the Jewish tradition is inspiring. The fact that they had to do it so far away from their convent, up a hill, hidden in the woods, is totally amazing! I was also upset today by the leaflets handed out in the Ukraine, requiring Jews to register; such an unbelievable deja vu. Seriously? "Never again!" The actions of the nuns has had a strong and meaningful impact on all of you. Over the past two weeks you have learned and experienced things you never could have imagined. In light of the shocking news out of Ukraine today, you are in the best possible place and with the best possible teachers to help you process this information. This is exactly why Holocaust education is so important and why we can never forget. For if we do, it can happen again.Wendy Naimaisterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07818272511993380290noreply@blogger.com
