  2. As you embark on the most important hands-on learning experience in your high school career, be sure to appreciate all the small details this trip has to offer. 3. I hope you all enjoy this amazing opportunity to study in Europe. Make sure you take in all the valuable information and apply it to modern day issues. It is important to apply what you have learned in the future. It is our generation's job to learn from the Holocaust and other genocides. You are all going on a trip that is life changing and unforgettable. I can't wait to read what you post each day!

  4. Two years ago, when I went on the trip I could not have imagined how the next two weeks would have affected me so much. As you guys go on the trip this year, enjoy yourselves but make sure you take away lessons and experiences that will last a lifetime. Know that this trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and you will experience things that you may have never been able to. For me, meeting Holocaust survivors is one of the many things that I still think about everyday, as will you all when you come back. It may not hit you while you all are there, but once you all are back home, all the emotions, new questions, and experiences will hit you. Can't wait to hear what you guys will think about each part of the trip on the blog.

  5. Last year I went on this trip, and it was one of the most memorable experiences of my entire life. You will see and experience something that will grab you, and will still be thinking about it a year later. Be curious and ask a lot of questions. You will get the opportunity to meet Pavel, a Holocaust survivor and his story will move you. You are so blessed to have such great educators who are willing to come on this trip with you. This trip has honestly changed my life, and it was the best decision I've ever made to go on this trip. I can't wait to see your posts everyday!!

  6. I can't wait to hear how these experiences are changing your life and making you think about everything differently! In Berlin, look at all of the memorials and monuments and think about how they affect the attitudes in Germany today. I cannot wait to see pictures and read your thoughts!

  7. I was not able to go on the trip last year but my sister was able to go on the trip with mrs tambucio in 2007. After my sister came home from the trip she explained to me that it was the best experience of her life. The two weeks that my sister Leigh went on the trip she learned about the tragedy's the Jewish people went through. She embraced every aspect of the trip and she matured immensely after her experience. I hope that you guys enjoy this once in a lifetime opportunity but at the same time take away the important lessons you can learn. I can't wait to read the posts you guys share with us each day!

  17. I am following your progress through Europe and reading your posts. A trip such as this has the potential to change the very essence of your being. With the passage of time we are losing all those who witnessed and lived through this time period so it is vital that young people become aware and carry the message forward so that human beings do not repeat such gross and unspeakable injustices. I am proud of you all for opening your minds and hearts to this journey. Jan Coonrod
